Brandt Academy provides the next generation the opportunity to learn from today's experts.
Brandt Academy is a nonprofit, extracurricular, STEM school (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for students in grades 6-12. Classes are taught year-round by volunteer professional engineers. A target student-teacher ratio of 4:1 or better facilitates highly individualized instruction, enabling students to learn at their best pace. Our core curriculum covers electronics, computer, and software engineering from the ground up. After grasping the basics students continue to study with today's experts by way of hands-on projects. The projects push the limits of current technology, and are fun and challenging for both student and teacher alike. They're also intended to align with foreseeable trends in the high-tech industry, better preparing our students for bright careers ahead. Example project domains include autonomous land, air, and sea vehicle engineering; rocket, satellite and space systems engineering; cybersecurity; AI and machine learning; big data and big analytics; augmented and virtual reality; and more.
