Mission Statement

La Sociedad Americana del Cáncer es la organización de la salud con base voluntaria mas grande de la nación americana dedicada a eliminar el cáncer como problema principal de salud. Esto lo logramos previniendo el cáncer, salvando vidas y disminuyendo el sufrimiento a causa del cáncer por medio de la investigacizón, la educación, el servicio y el establecimiento de política pública.

Description

This organization focuses on education in order to prevent cancer or detect it in it's early stages. We also offer direct services to cancer patients. One of our main concerns is research and investigation and we invest in that also. Relay For Life is the biggest fund raising event that helps us reach our goals. This event is one in which teams of 10 to 15 people walk in relays during a 24 hour period in honor of our cancer survivors and in memory of those lost to this disease.
