Description

Seeking vlounteers for the Prevention Services Program. Prevention services provides three alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention services:

Prevention Education: Activities aim to affect critical life and social skills including decision-making, refusal skills, critical analysis and systemic judgment abilities. Topics: Active Listening; Stereotyping; Myths & Denials; Chemical Dependency; Talk Show; Marijuana Panel; Tobacco Basketball & Use Cessation; Stress; Health & Goals; Self-Control; Positive & Negative Thought Behavior Loops; Perspectives and Decision-making and Commitment. Prevention Alternatives: Provide opportunities for positive behavior support as a means of reducing risk taking behavior and reinforcing protective factors through Peer Leadership, Peer-to-Peer Programming and Youth-Led Prevention activities. Prevention Community-Based Processes Enhances the ability of the community to provide more effective prevention services addressing alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and abuse by aiding in developing skills of impactors, who will, in turn, provide awareness, education and or skills to target groups through training.
