Belage is an affordable housing complex for seniors in Anaheim, California. Volunteers will be assisting with set up, food distribution, and clean up from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This food distribution is designed as a walk-up service; for residents who are homebound, food delivery to their doorstep will be provided. Please note that this position may involve heavy lifting. Volunteers need to be 16 years of age or older. Below is all the information you will need prior to your event. The Arbor is a housing complex for low income families in Irvine. Every Thursday, Second Harvest brings their Park-It-Market vehicle to the property so families can pick out food for the week. Volunteers are needed to help sign in residents, and direct the line of residents. Volunteers will be assisting with set up, food distribution, and clean up from 10:00AM to 11:30AM. This food distribution is a walk-up distribution, or residents will need the food to be delivered to their doorstep if they are homebound. This position may require heavy lifting. Heritage Villas, CA, is an affordable mobile home park for seniors 55+. Jamboree's Community Impact Group provides onsite programs and services designed for seniors. Every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month we host an onsite food bank for our seniors. Seniors receive produce and pantry items. Volunteers will be assisting with set up, food distribution, and clean up from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This senior food distribution is meant to be a walk-up service, or food may need to be delivered to homebound residents. Please note that this position may involve heavy lifting. Volunteers are needed for the following tasks: Arranging tables Setting up and moving food donation into the office Signing up residents as they arrive Keeping tables stocked as clients take groceries Cleaning up distribution area and putting away tables This position may involve heavy lifting.
