Mission Statement

To provide opportunities for under-served youth to build self-esteem and life skills through snowboarding and other board sports.

Description

We use snowboarding and skateboarding as a vehicle to connect with and teach our participants life skills and help build up their self-esteem as they learn something completely new. We use our weekly themes of Respect, Patience, Persistence, Courage, Responsibility and Pride to help instill common values for our time together. To help us teach the themes we use our bus as a mobile classroom to talk about our weekly theme on the way up, reinforce it while we do our activity, and then expand on the theme and discuss how we can use it in everyday life, at school, home, work, and everywhere else on our way down.
