Description
Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Our Dream Programs are primarily delivered locally by our clubs and members in countries across North America, Latin America and the Pacific Rim. These include:
- The Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women, provides cash grants for head-of-household seeking to improve their lives with the help of education or training. Soroptimists invests more than $2.8 million in education grants to nearly 1,800 women each year through this program, which launched in 1972.
- Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls provides girls who face obstacles with guidance, training and resources to accomplish their career goals--intervening at the right time to set girls on the path for a brighter future.
