Mission Statement

The overarching mission of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is to contribute to the safety and security of our citizens, ports, waterways and coastal regions.

We will balance our missions of Recreational Boating Safety and Coast Guard Support with Maritime Homeland Security and other challenges that emerge as a result of our growing understanding of changes required in the post-9/11 era.

Description

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 095-07-04 serves the area in and around Fox Lake, Illinois and the Chain of Lakes. Our members come from Western Lake County, Eastern McHenry County, and Northern Cook County.

Individuals and groups interested in recreational boating safety are invited to take advantage of our educational programs, free vessel safety checks, and even becoming a member of our Flotilla.

In addition to public educational programs and vessel safety checks, our members also receive special training to assist the U.S. Coast Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as safety patrols, search and rescue, and marine environmental protection.

Our Flotilla meets at 7:00 p.m. on the Second Monday of every month at the Fox Waterway Agency, 45 S Pistakee Street, Fox Lake Illinois. Visitors are welcome.
