Mission Statement

Humanitarian Foundation is the Official Charity of the Grottoes of North America. The Grottoes of North America Humanitarian Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that brings "Special Smiles" to children with special needs by providing them much-needed dental care. The program helps cover the costs of dental treatment, including hospital and anesthesia costs, when needed, for children with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular disorders, those with mental retardation, and organ transplant recipients.

Description

Ormazd Grotto was formed by a group of Central Florida Masons for the purpose of having a fun fraternity while raising money for Charity. In 1949, one of our members, Dr. John T Heintz, petitioned the Prophets at the Annual Convention, where they were voting to select a charity for the entire Grotto Organization to support, to create a Foundation to raise funds to take care of the dental problems of children who were born with cerebal palsy and other brain injuries.
