The mission of BioEYES, a K-12 science outreach program of the Carnegie Institution for Science, is to foster enthusiasm for science by offering students opportunities to explore life science through real world applications using a hands-on approach to learning.

Description

The mission of the Carnegie Institution for Science, founded in 1902, is to encourage, in the broadest and most liberal manner, investigation, research and discovery, and the application of knowledge to the improvement of mankind. Carnegie scientists are leaders in the plant and developmental biology, earth and planetary sciences, astronomy, and global ecology fields.

BioEYES (www.bioeyes.org), a program of the Carnegie Institution, is a K-12 science outreach and teacher training program that uses live fish to get kids excited about science. It is located at the Carnegie Institution’s Department of Embryology in Baltimore, MD.
