Mission Statement

Wakefield Ambulance Association is a volunteer-based nonprofit agency that provides 911-dispatched emergency medical services to southern Lancaster County, PA. Since 1973, we have served the townships of Fulton, Little Britain, Drumore, and East Drumore, as well as mutual aid into surrounding municipalities. We also organize various community outreach activities, such as CPR classes, Good Neighbor Checks, school visits, and event standbys.

Description

Wakefield Ambulance Association is seeking both non-medical and medical volunteers to help our agency run smoothly:

Non-medical, or administrative volunteers can come from ANY walk of life! We always need help with clerical work, phone calls, cleaning, human resources, accounting, fundraising, and much more. If you have a talent and are willing to serve the community, we will find a place for you!

Medical members must be certified (we can help with that if you are interested) as an EMR or higher by the PA Dept of Health, before they are allowed to provide care on our ambulances. Medical members answer 911 calls by responding to emergencies and transporting patients to the hospital.

For ALL volunteers, we offer an incentive program, annual events, the opportunity to help out a local nonprofit, and a chance to have fun with other staff members. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out via phone, email, or internet. Thank you for considering Wakefield Ambulance!
