The Autism Society of Central Virginia (ASCV) is a non-profit organization focused on services, advocacy, and support of individuals with autism, their families, and the professionals who serve them. Our mission is to support, empower, and create connections for the Central Virginia Autism community. We offer a wide variety of programs, including social and recreational activities, information & referral services, support groups, educational workshops, advocacy initiatives, and scholarships.
Over the last 35 years, the Society has developed into the leading source of information and referral on autism.
We provide 5 core services to maintain and increase the quality of life for everyone:
Information and Referral - Contact us by email or phone for local resources and general information about autism and the services and programs we provide.
Support - We are committed to the ongoing support of individuals with autism and their families, at any age and any stage.
Community - The ASCV’s vision is to increase the quality of life of everyone living with ASD by building autism friendly, inclusive communities.
Advocate - We work to make real, lasting system changes that improve the lives of all affected by autism.
Educate - We host and promote opportunities for individuals and family members to meet, attend workshops, share resources and experiences, and receive the latest information on topics related to autism.
