Bay Medical is a 413-bed regional referral center that has served the community since 1949. As the area's largest and most comprehensive hospital, Bay Medical provides a full range of quality healthcare services.

Bay Medical has recently been recognized as one of the nation's Top 50 Hospitals by a leading healthcare quality organization. Top 50 Hospitals consistently performed in the top five percent in the nation for clinical quality for a period of five to six years.
As the only not-for-profit hospital in Bay County, Bay Medical provided over $30 million in charity and uncompensated care in fiscal year 2007. This represented 98% of hospital-based charity care and Bay Medical does not receive any tax support to offset this contribution. Without Bay Medical, many people in our community would not be able to receive the healthcare they need.
Bay Medical has recently embarked on the largest expansion campaign in the history of the hospital. The expansion will include a new patient tower with all new private patient rooms, new Intensive Care Units, a beautiful courtyard, new cafeteria and a state-of-the-art energy center. This $60 million expansion is yet another investment Bay Medical is making in our community, ensuring that quality healthcare is available for generations to come.
