Mission Statement

FAMILY Inc., an acronym for Fostering, Adopting, and Mentoring to Improve the Lives of Youth is concerned with supporting families and keeping them intact in order to make the future better for children.

Description

The organization maintains an up-to-date resource database for utilization by families. Use of the cities new 3-1-1 center is also encouraged.

The organization engages in recruitment efforts for foster parents, adoptive parents, and mentors.

A mentoring program called Caregiver's Choice is run by FAMILY Inc. and focuses on the mentoring needs of children with incarcerated parents.

FAMILY Inc. is currently considering a collaborative effort with Coming of Age that will allow persons over the age of 50 opportunities for civic engagement and learning.
