Mission Statement

The National Center for Equality and Innovation (NCEI) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization that offers unique crisis prevention and intervention to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit, queer, and questioning youth (LGBT+). We help those who may become or are currently homeless, as well as those experiencing life-threatening issues. We are committed to positive development through action, education, intervention, and creating safer and healthier living environments.

Description

NCEI objectives are to provided mobile outreach crisis counseling and support to LGBT+ young people who are experiencing potentially life-threatening crises;develop and implement comprehensive strategies to prevent homelessness locally and nationally; provide safe environments for LGBT+ youth through stable housing, education, employment, basic needs, and counseling; offer LGBT+ youths and their parents or guardians ways to unite and collaborate; offer resources, supportive outlets, and a sense of community to LGBT+ youth to improve life experiences; and assist all youth who identify with any sexual orientation and gender identity.
