Mission Statement

The Reading Connection's literacy outreach programs bring books and reading to homeless children and children in transition, helping families build a foundation for a lifelong love of reading.

Description

During weekly read-alouds, TRC volunteers meet with children in area shelters and community centers to share stories and reading-related activities. TRC gives new books to kids so they can start to build their own libraries and to see themselves as readers and achievers.
