Mission Statement

To promote and advance early music (music of the medieval, Renaissance, baroque and early Classical periods) in New York City.

Description

We pursue activities in three basic areas to advance our mission: 1. maintaining a booking agency (GEMS Live!) which secures concert engagements for eight of New York City's finest early music ensembles 2. providing marketing, sales, administrative, and financial services to artists, ensembles, and institutions in NYC, including a comprehensive website, email newsletter, collaborative mailing lists, box office services, and others 3. sponsoring high-level projects that promote excellence, including Sinfonia New York (a period instrument orchestra), and collaborations with The National Gallery of Art, the Juilliard School, and The Cloisters
