Mission Statement

A-Med provides a high quality, comprehensive, palliative Program dedicated to promoting comfort and quality of life for clients and families facing terminal illness. In recognition that facing a life-limiting disease is much more than a physical experience; A-Med Community Hospice utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to provide services for their clients and families. As human beings we experience emotional, spiritual and physical losses during the dying process. Through meeting the numerous needs of clients and families, we strive to enable clients to live life to the fullest extent possible.

There is nothing more rewarding then to know you have made a difference in another human being's life. That is what volunteering for A-Med Community Hospice is all about. Hospice started because of volunteers and that tradition continues today!

Working in hospice briongs such great rewards. Our patients and families are grateful and appreciative. In 11 years of hospice nursing patients and families have given me far more gifts of the heart then I could have ever given them.

A-Med Community Hospice utelizes volunteers in many ways. You can help in the office, file paperwork, knitting blankets, support the volunteer coordinator, visit with patients, etc... We want to match your skills and abilities with our needs and your goals.
