The mission of Tulsa Botanic Garden is to promote the beauty and importance of plants and nature to create a more sustainable and harmonious world.
Tulsa Botanic Garden is a non-profit organization developing a botanic garden just 8 miles northwest of downtown Tulsa. A master plan unveiled in December 2012 calls for 70 acres to be developed into horticultural display gardens and facilities for education, outreach and research. The remaining 100 acres will be left natural for interpreting native flora and fauna.
In October 2015, the A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Floral Terraces, a three-acre ornamental garden featuring 8,000 permanent plants, three cascading water features and 5,700 square ft of seasonal color displays, was opened.
The Children's Discovery Garden opened in May 2016 as a two-acre wonderland garden environment encouraging learning through interactive play.
