Mission Statement

Friends of the Elderly t/a FOTE Outreach & Community Service Program's objective is to bring "homeless", lower income families and individuals to a point of self-sufficiency. We will assist our program participants by servicing thier physical, mental health, employment, educational, vocational, social and spiritual needs. We will teach them how to empower themselves, by giving them the tools neccesary to become self-sufficient and to be prepared to accept the responsiblity of permanent housing and independent living. We will help our residents find the assistance that they need to build a stable living environment for a brighter tomorrow.

Description

We offer an outreach supportive services program designed to help those families and individuals in need and offers an intervention service to avoid the pitfalls of homelessness. Each outreach client can receive the same supportive services for a period no more than 2 years. Within our outreach program we offer a food pantry, clothes closet, household needs/furnishings and referral resources which services the entire Hampton Roads communities. Our elderly outreach services program is designed to help assist senior who are in need of assistance with errands, household maintenance and food basket deliveries.
