Mission Statement

Babywearing International Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote babywearing as a universally accepted practice, with benefits for both child and caregiver, through education and support.

Description

Babywearing International of Hampton Roads is the local chapter of Babywearing International, Inc. We were officially recognized by Babywearing International, Inc on November 19, 2012.

BWI of Hampton Roads supports this mission by hosting monthly meetings and a variety of meetups and special events throughout the year. We also maintain a lending library to provide caregivers the opportunity to try different carriers. Our Volunteer Babywearing Educators (VBE), Advanced Babywearing Educators (ABE), and Master Babywearing Educators (MBE) are accredited through Babywearing International, Inc and provide assistance and guidance at our meetings.
