The mission of Strong Star is to prevent the cycle of child abuse and neglect by early intervention that focuses on building successful and resilient children, strengthening parents and preserving families.

Description

Strong Start is a family support program in Austin focusing on the prevention of child abuse and neglect. We work with high-stressed families with children under six.

Children receive a one of a kind therapeutic early childhood program, an onsite classroom coupled with educational home visits for parents, enhancing social emotional development, communication, and problem solving. Parents additionally receive onsite parenting and anger management classes, support groups, crisis management assistance and ancillary support services, such as transportation assistance and respite childcare, are available to ensure all services are conveniently accessible. All services are offered to families free of charge.
