To provide the opportunity for physical and emotional healing, equestrian education, and fulfillment of individual dreams in a structured therapeutic riding environment for mentally, physically, and emotionally challenged individuals of all ages

Description

Tri-State Therapeutic Riding is a non-profit organization that provides horse back riding lessons to individuals with mental, physical or emotional impairments. We serve individuals of all ages with a wide range of disabilities. Some of the disabilities include, but are not limited to: Down Syndrome, Mental Retardations, Multiple Sclerosis, and other physical or mental impariments.

We ride every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm-8pm and Saturdays from 11am- 2pm. Each lesson is 45 minutes long and we want to make sure every rider has a great experience!

I found volunteering at Tri-State Therapeutic Riding very rewarding! Just take one look into the riders faces and you will realize it is worth the time and energy! The work is moderate to easy, and there really is a job for anyone!
