Mission Statement

The Watson-Brown Foundation's Mission: The Watson-Brown Foundation, through creativity, diligence and financial support, labors to improve education in the American South by funding its schools and students, preserving its history, encouraging responsible scholarship, and promoting the memory and values of our spiritual founders.

Hickory Hill is a historic house museum owned and operated by the Watson-Brown Foundation. It's mission:

Hickory Hill, through careful restoration, accurate recreation, professional preservation, and thoughtful interpretation seeks to foster a fuller understanding of the life and times of Thomas E. Watson, and to inspire reflection on the Jeffersonian virtues of life in the rural South.

Description

It is a working farm with fields of watermelon, cotton, corn, etc., as well as chickens and peafowl.
