Mission Statement
Advancing voluntary, cooperative conservation by strengthening land trusts throughout Washington State.
Description
The Washington Association of Land Trusts is a statewide coalition of 28 nonprofit land conservation organizations working in Washington to permanently protect land and water through voluntary, cooperative conservation.
The Association advances conservation through public policy and funding; serves as a toolbox and information hub for land trusts and partners; and facilitates ongoing training and information sharing around Washington specific conservation issues.
The Association works to improve and advance land conservation by making sure that each community benefits from a strong land trust to support their conservation vision. Together with our members, we advance creative, proactive solutions for land owners and communities to conserve Washington’s most special lands and waters.
Together, we work to build a statewide land trust community capable of conserving our extraordinary land and water resources for all Washingtonians. We conserve the most important lands across the state for future generations
