EMBODY LOVE MOVEMENT FOUNDATION

Description

Embody Love Movement(r) envisions a world where every person feels that they have a right to be here, a right to be seen and heard, and a right to be completely loved. When we value who we are, we value everyone around us just as much. Through the use of our age-based programs, we teach girls and women that their value and self-worth is not defined by the standards set by the media. Our Workshops allow p articipants an opportunity to find the beauty within themselves and those around them by teaching them:

1. Media literacy - Dismantling the false beauty ideal created by the media

2. Changing the conversation - Changing conversations from "body shaming" to "I have purpose"

3. Committing to compassion - Making a commitment to themselves and peers that their future words and actions will originate from a place of love and compassion.

4. Yoga Practice (optional) - P articipants are guided through the practice with focus on how your body feels rather than its appearance. We use yoga to demonstrate that seeing your body as a vessel can encourage loving acceptance.
