The Mission of the African Performing Arts Association is to create the stage for:

• preservation and sharing of world cultural traditions, heritage, knowledge and experiences
• innovation by diverse artists
• developing increased awareness and understanding of cultural and individual differences throughout our society and communities
• sharing the expertise of individuals and groups with knowledge and skills in diverse cultural traditions and heritage
• building cultural understanding in the community
