Mission Statement

The mission of Haven of Lake & Sumter Counties, Inc. is to provide empowering alternatives and safe refuge to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault who are seeking to make a transition from an abusive relationship to a life that is free of violence. Our services are rendered upon request, free of charge, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or national origin.

Description

Haven offers 24 hour crisis hotline, individual & group counseling to women, men & children, emergency shelter, transitional living facility, & legal advocacy. All of Haven's services are free of charge to any victim or their families.

These people are always there for you and were for me, day or night. Always nice over the phone or in person. I have gone in and seen the councellor and gone to support groups, seen the doctor, and at every turn, they advise you, and support and hold you up and it took me years to form a safe plan-I am now 66 and have my own place and am safe and want to volunteer but I am in DeBary Fl. now and not Leesburg but I know first hand the things Haven has done for me and I thank them and will always be grateful for all they have done for me.
