Mission Statement

The Animal Shelter provides humane care to, and finds homes for, lost and abandoned companion animals; educates the public regarding responsible animal ownership; and enforces animal regulations.

Description

The Shelter is a municipal organization caring for dogs and cats of Teton County. We are open admission and only euthanize animals in the cases of severe illness or unalterable agression. Our capacity is 28 dogs and 35 cats. We have high adoption rates, with the majority of our animals finding a new home within 6 months of intake. We are a small shelter saffed by 2 full time employees, and we rely on hundreds of hours of volunteer time per month in order to fulfill our mission.
