Podcast Producer, Education Dept. - Volunteer Opportunity Organization: One Bread Foundation, Inc. - Nationwide NGO Combating Human Trafficking Time Commitment: 1.5 hours minimum per week Location: Fully remote, San Francisco Bay Area-based organization with nationwide team Overview: We are in the fight to End Human Trafficking in our country, One Bread Foundation, Inc. exists for the sole purpose of making grants for the Rehabilitation of Children and Teens rescued from Sex Trafficking nationwide. The Role: The Podcaster will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and informative podcast content centered around the critical issue of child trafficking. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a dynamic team to research, develop, and disseminate episodes that educate, inform, and inspire action. This role offers the unique opportunity to use one’s voice and platform to make a significant impact on combating child trafficking and supporting the organization's mission to promote education and awareness on this crucial issue. Responsibilities: Weekly Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize weekly meetings with the Director of Education, including preparing the agenda, notifying all participants, arranging the meeting space or digital platform, and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Attend a weekly meeting with the Director of Education to discuss content strategies, progress, and feedback. Research and script episodes that effectively communicate the complexities of child trafficking to a broad audience. Coordinate with guests, experts, and survivors for interviews and discussions. Edit and produce podcast episodes to meet publication standards and deadlines. Promote episodes across various platforms to maximize reach and engagement. Participate in the creative process for developing series themes and episode ideas. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is required. Strong Research Skills: Ability to conduct comprehensive research on topics related to child trafficking, human rights, and related issues to ensure accurate, informative, and engaging content. Communication and Public Speaking Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas and stories. Comfortable speaking in public settings or on recorded platforms. Other Requirements: Access to a reliable internet connection and necessary computer equipment to perform remote tasks. Willingness to adapt to the organization's procedures and work within established guidelines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Eagerness to learn and contribute to the organization's goals and initiatives. Reporting Structure: The position reports directly to the Director of Education. Skills and Abilities: Strong research and writing skills to create compelling and informative content. Excellent communication and interview skills to engage with guests and listeners effectively. Proficiency in audio editing software and podcast production techniques. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas to increase audience engagement. Knowledge of social media and digital marketing strategies to promote podcast episodes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Passion for our mission. Service-oriented and should be plugged into a likeminded community. Time Commitment: Minimum 90-minute commitment weekly (typically 2-5 hours). Includes one-on-ones and team meetings. Benefits: Contribute to impactful cause, enhancing community.
