Light of Hearts Villa is committed to serving seniors, with grace and integrity, through quality, person centered affordable services, whether they live at the Villa or in the community. Guided by our faith, we see an enhanced, enriched and improved quality of life for older adults and their families.
Nestled on over 35 wooded acres next to the Bedford Metropark Reservation, Light of Hearts Villa is a not-for-profit organization State Licensed Facility accommodating 92 private affordable apartments providing senior supportive residential care options for older adults since 1989. Residency is open to seniors of all faiths, 62+ years of age, who which to choose an active, independent lifestyle in a secure, maintenance free environment. Light of Hearts Villa Community is a co-sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati and the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine Health System. It is our belief that the journey of aging is enhanced by love that takes many forms to address the physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs of our residents. Outreach Services: Programming and services have been developed for area seniors living at home. These include Education and Training with Computer, Memory Skills, Informative Presentations and Classes. Socialization and Recreation include Exercise, Coffee Room, Dance Classes, Card Clubs, and Voice & Bell Choirs. Spirituality programs include Prayer Services, Retreat Days, Healthy Spirituality and Mind, Body & Spirit Connection.
Community Social Services Program: The goal of the Community Social Services staff is to assist older adults in Southeast Cuyahoga and Northeast Summit County and their family members in developing creative ways to continue successful aging by utilizing trusted community service organizations. Our knowledgeable and professional staff listen carefully to each individual case situation and work diligently to provide services to insure the safety of our community's older residents.
Social Service Institute for Older Adults: The Institute shares its expertise of the education component on all aspects of aging and care of the aged with other geriatric care professions, health care providers, member of the health insurance industry, elected representatives and special interest groups, families, as well as with older adults themselves and students in medical or social work programs. This center services for the gathering of information on aging and provides the ultimate in service to the community in line with the core mission.
