The mission of the Bayview Hunters Point Multi Purpose Senior Services, Inc. is to ensure continued good quality of living for our aging population. We are here to aid the retired, frail, disabled and unaccompanied senior with; social interaction, hot meals as well as take home food staples & fresh produce. Helping to make life, in its latter stages, to remain as comfortable and as worry free as possible is our objective.
We have proudly brought services to the aging population in the Bayview Hunters Point communities for nearly thirty years now.
The Bayview Hunters Point Multi Purpose Senior Services, Inc. provides daily hot lunches for a reasonably suggested donation of $1.50; no on will be turned away if they can't afford to pay. A breakfast social is hosted every Friday with a varying menu. Seniors can enjoy selected movies and requested television shows on a projection screen TV throughout the day. The center has a game room that hosts tournaments weekly & where our seniors meet daily to challenge each other's skills.
Resources are available for seniors returning to society after a period of incarceration. Women 45 or older & men 50 or older can meet with a counselor to seek assistance with job search, housing assistance and general support while acclimating themselves to the community and changes in society during their incarceration.

I am doing a project for my Human Services degree. My "mock non-profit organization" is going to provide comprehensive services for seniors who are ex-offenders. I saw your organization and like what I read. I hope you don't mind but I will pattern my "mock" organization along the same lines as yours. I live in Brooklyn, NY and I want to work with the elderly population I feel that the aging population is this country's greatest asset and I want to be their advocate to help them overcome obstacles and daily challenges in their latter years. I want to be instrumental in providing the services and resources that will ensure that they live as independently as possible with dignity.
Again I would like to say that this organization is such a good fit for me. It covers most of the things I want to accomplish in my career that it feels weird, but in a good way. Keep up the Good Work and remember you have a #1 supporter in BROOKLYN, USA.
