Mission Statement
The Jaycees are a non-profit organization for people between the ages of 18 and 41. We provide leadership training and individual development opportunities that we encourage you to use through volunteer work in your local community with the Jaycees. These are great tools to grow from that you won't get in your daily employment. The difference in our active citizens is that we are not solely for any one charity. We can and do volunteer for whatever causes and charities that we feel would benefit from our project. There is no cause we refuse to volunteer for.
Description
If a Jaycee member proposes we hold a pancake breakfast to raise money for Camp New Hope, then we do. If another member seeks volunteers to walk in a Relay For Life, then we do that as well. Sometimes, we all just get together to have fun. The great thing about the Jaycees is that it is whatever you want it to be. We encourage you to contact one of the Northwest Region chapters to find out what's happening in your neck of the woods. Currently, our chapters include:
Aledo
Belvidere
Cherry Valley
East Moline/Silvis
Freeport
Lena-Winslow
Parks New Generation
Princeton
Sterling/Rock Falls
We would like to expand our chapters in 2009, so if your community is not listed, but you are interested in helping grow our region, please contact Region Director Cammi Edmison at nwregionjaycees2009@gmail.com
thank you
