Job description We are looking for one or two experienced grant writers and/or fundraisers to help our nonprofit submit yearly grant applications to existing donors and identify and make contact with new sources of funding. The volunteer should be able to donate several hours of time per month, however the time and location of volunteering is entirely flexible. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Grant Writer to join our team. This role is crucial for securing funding that supports our mission. The ideal candidate will be an adept researcher, unwavering in the face of challenges, and motivated by a strong desire to make a difference. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough and efficient research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with our mission. Analyze grant requirements and evaluate our organization's fit . * Collaborate with our team to gather necessary information for grant applications. Write and submit compelling grant proposals, with the support of our skilled editing team. Qualifications Strong research skills and the ability to uncover and assess grant opportunities. Persistence and creativity in navigating the complexities of the grant application process. Excellent written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Note; this internship is an unpaid volunteer opportunity and it is an on-site, in-person position. Office hours are 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday. Interns typically work 4-6 hour shifts 2-3 times per week for a minimum of 3 months. This project can be done remotely. As a volunteer in this initiative, your expertise in grant writing and fundraising will be invaluable. Your support will enhance our efforts in securing additional funding, a critical step in bringing this event to fruition. Your role is vital in helping us provide an impactful change in our community’s mental health.
