Regional Food Bank of Tillamook County

Description

The Regional Food Bank (RFB) of Tillamook County, a program of Oregon Food Bank supports and coordinates hunger relief efforts. The RFB receives food from both local donors and Oregon Food Bank which is distributed to twenty nonprofit agencies in Tillamook County who provide food directly to those in need. Donations to the Regional Food Bank are distributed equitably county wide. The recipient agencies include food pantries as well as hot meal sites and supplemental meal programs and youth programs such as summer meals. The Regional Food Bank coordinates a senior brown bag program which distributes about 70 bags of food monthly. The bags are delivered by meals on wheels volunteers through Northwest Senior and Disabled Services to help seniors supplement their food supply and improve nutrition.
