Mission Statement

The Institute for Policy Studies turns Ideas into Action for Peace, Justice and the Environment. We strengthen social movements with independent research, visionary thinking, and links to the grassroots, scholars and elected officials. I.F. Stone once called IPS "the think tank for the rest of us." Since 1963, we have empowered people to build healthy and democratic societies in communities, the US, and the world.

Description

The Institute for Policy Studies is a multi-issue think tank and the oldest think tank in the United States. We have a plethora of projects, some focusing on domestic and foreign policy while others offer activist-training courses to inviduals and non-profits and work with victims of labor trafficking. For those who would volunteer/intern for it, the Institute offers many invaluable opportunities to learn and become a part of a team endeavoring to affect change.
