Position Summary GateWay Boarding Academy is seeking a full time or part time Executive Director responsible for fulfilling the mission and meeting the objectives of GateWay. The Executive Director will manage the day-to-day operations of the GateWay Boarding Academy, with the authority to carry out responsibilities in accordance with the Academy’s director and policies as established by the Board of Directors. Principle Duties and Job Functions Provides general oversight of all GateWay Boarding Academy [GBA] staff and activities. Ensures program quality and organizational stability. Informs the Board and its committees about trends, issues, problems, and activities. Submits staffing recommendations to justify additional positions and salary requirements to the Board of Directors. Submits quarterly budgets to the Board of Directors. Serves as the Chief spokesperson for GateWay Boarding Academy. Oversees the implementation of fundraising plans. Keeps informed of developments in the not-for-profit organizations. Proposes short and long-term goals in support of the mission. Identifies and addresses problems and opportunities impacting GBA. Informs the Board of internal and external factors that may influence GBA success. Experience and Qualifications Requirements At least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university At least 3 years of senior management experience, preferably in not-for-profit management Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills Good negotiating skills Exceptional computer skills Ability to handle and protect restricted and confidential information.

The Deputy Executive Director will manage the day-to-day operations of the A.S.S.I.S.T. Program, with the authority to carry out responsibilities in accordance with the Academy’s direction and policies as established by the Board of Directors. Principle Duties and Job Functions Manages the day-to-day operations and activities of the after-school A.S.S.I.S.T Program, the Earn & Learn Program, and the summer adventure camp. Supervises and trains teachers and volunteers. Generates a welcoming environment for the students and parents/guardians. Recruits qualified students, teachers, and volunteers. Promotes programs and services. Develops Standard Operating Procedures. Serves as a spokesperson for the GateWay Boarding Academy. Generates community involvement. Advises the Executive Director and the Board on staffing needs. Interviews and makes staff selection recommendations. Proposes short-term and long-term goals in support of the mission. Identifies and addresses problems and opportunities impacting the A.S.S.I.S.T. Program. Informs the Board of internal and external factors that may influence GBA success.
