The only 2 options were yes I'd recommend it and no I haven't volunteered there, so let me set the record straight. I HAVE volunteered at Serenity and did so for six full months. I was there on average of 4 hours a day 5 days a week. The owner of this rescue is very "manipulative". I caught her in lie after lie. I won't put anything in this statement that will affect me legally, but I will try to WARN YOU to STAY AWAY from SHR! You will have your heart broken, your spirit crushed and you will think all rescues are run like this one and they are NOT! I would not recommend ever giving them any cash! If you want to monetarily donate, make it to the organization, not to the owner. This way it is tax deductible. I LOVE horses but this is not a rescue; it's a BAD hoarding situation.
