Description

Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill (DHCI) is the largest nursing home in the State of Delaware. DHCI first opened its doors in 1933 as a statewide Welfare home to replace the county almshouses. DHCI has evolved over time from a welfare home to hospital to what it is today - a long-term care facility licensed as a nursing home providing nursing and medical care at the skilled and intermediate levels. Admission requirements include both a financial and medical need.

My Compassion has always been for the elderly and my scheduled has always been busy. I have recently have background in the medical industry and have time for volunteering right now and would like to give my service especially at this time of year. My church organization comes there once every Sunday of the month and enjoy worshiping.
