Description

Weinberg Nature Center is Scarsdale's own and only nature center serving the community's schools, scouts and the public. Created in 1958, Weinberg Nature Center is a wildlife sanctuary which consists of a meadow, fruit orchard, woodlots, swamp and a Woodland Indian Village. Adding to the intrigue of all these facets, several trails surround the Trailside Museum for public enjoyment.

Weinberg is becoming an integrated part of the Scarsdale School District science and social studies cirriculum. We offer a variety of programs that meet NYS criteria in these areas.

Weinberg is also involved in the scouting programs offered by the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. Our staff and facilities are equipped to help scouts obtain a variety of merit badges.

In a few short phrases, Weinberg Nature Center can be summarized as follows: Wildlife Sanctuary, Nature Center Educational Building, Outdoor Envbironmental Events, Indoor Environmental Programs and Families and all ages.
