In 2008, we provided assistance to over 1,400+ individuals; some families were aided for several months. We provide food, clothing, whole households of furniture, etc. to fire families, assistance with medical, heating assistance, firewood, rent, car payments, pregnancy counseling, budgeting counseling, etc.

Thru donations made to our Thrift Store we raise the funds to provide assistance to families that otherwise might "fall thru the cracks" of other assistance options. We help families who find themselves suddenly unemployed, out of work due to injuries or illness, fire families who have lost everything, or are suddenly faced with othre types of life changing emergencies.

Buckingham does not have a Salvation Army, Goodwill, Red Cross nor does it fall under the benefits of the United Way. But we provide the same types of services with funds raised in our Thrift Store. Currently we have no grant assistance and desperately need people to help process items for sale.
