Mission Statement

Project VITAL provides free and confidential tutoring to Sauk Valley adults who want to improve their reading, writing, spoken English (ESL) or prepare for the GED.

Description

VITAL has been helping area residents since 1985 and serves over 200 adults each year through the use of volunteer tutors. Tutors and students meet each other once or twice a week at their local library at times convenient for both. Books and ongoing support are provided. Tutoring is a fun, rewarding and very effective way to help our community.

VITAL is a non-profit organization based out of Sauk Valley Community College and operated with a grant from the Illinois Secretary of State's Office. Please call or e-mail for more information.
