Mission Statement

LYDIA is a national, Christ-honoring organization whose mission is to strengthen families to care for children and care for children when families cannot.

Description

LYDIA is based in Chicago, with four other locations in the United States as well as an international program. Most of our services are supported entirely by private contributions, and volunteers play a vital role in keeping our ministry strong.

Our programs include: Residential Treatment Center, Foster Care, Safe Families for Children, Healthy Families (child abuse prevention), Counseling Centers, Urban Academy (alternative high school), Learn & Care (preschool), WHAT'S GOOD (abstinence education), and Graduate Training Program.
