Mission Statement
To provide professional-quality classical music that deeply moves our audience and inspires them to share our passion for great music; to celebrate our patriotic heritage and Washington, D.C. community with music highlighting the finest American composers; and to improve the quality of life of residents of the Washington, D.C. area through our commitments to both exquisite musical entertainment and critical community outreach programs supporting military and educational missions.
Description
The Capital Chamber Orchestra was informally founded in November, 2015 by Music Director Kirk Wilke and formally incorporated in March, 2016 by Nonprofit Executive Administrative Consultant Heather Longfellow and Music Director Kirk Wilke. The first concert is scheduled for November, 2016. This orchestra is seeking to reach a market in the Washington, D.C. area that has, until now, remained under-served: the military and government community, through patriotic music from American composers, community outreach serving the military community, and community outreach serving education. The Capital Chamber Orchestra will provide professional-quality music to the greater Washington, D.C. area.
