Mission Statement

Journey 4ward’s mission is to educate and bring awareness to our community to work in unity to reduce gun violence by collaborating with our community and community leaders to implement programs, activities and events that focus on the prevention of gun violence. We will be an advocate for sustaining a community culture of nonviolence.

Description

Journey 4ward reaches out to families that have experienced the most unimaginable trauma and unspeakable grief anyone could ever imagine; the violent death of a family member. We will grieve along with them because we know the pain they are experiencing. Like them, we are grieving the death of our children.

A huge source of coping has been connecting with, learning from and finding strength in other mothers/ families who have suffered a similar loss. Journey 4ward will support them by walking through the journey with them and providing resources on the many issues that they will be facing.

Our goal is to help make connections, find hope and healing from the experiences of others. We join others assuring them they need not journey alone. Journey 4ward is a group of sharing, love and understanding. We encourage you to feel safe and ask questions, to contact us and make a life long connection with us
