Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
We give patient and family empowered care, preserving dignity and providing comfort.
At Gift of Hospice we provide our patients and family members with a team-oriented approach to end of life care including pain management and emotional, psychosocial, spiritual and volunteer support. We empower patients and loved ones to make informed choices about their care and end of life goals. Our team believes that every person has the right to die with dignity, compassion and quality pain management. We support patients and loved ones on their journey to find closure and meaning in the time they have with our program,
To reach these goals we partner with our amazing volunteer team to provide companionship, respite, family support, pet therapy, bereavement support, administrative functions and so much more. If you are compassionate and committed we would love to hear from you! NO previous hospice experience is necessary and we provide a comprehensive orientation to all volunteers as well as ongoing support and education.

I have no words to describe how amazing this place is. I have been there doing my work volunteer for four months and I have noticed how the staff is incredible. They are very committed, and passionate about their job. I remember when I first started my work volunteer, my coordinator was telling me about their responsibilities and the importance of the confidentiality of the information and how much they care about it. For me it tells how credible this institution is. This place teaches me every single day about love, care and respect. I love to be there and I am grateful for this experience.
