Latina Initiative

Description

• To educate and inspire Latinas to register and vote and engage in the overall political process.
• Latina Advocates to engage in the political process at all levels impacting policy.
• To link Latinas with existing resources in our communities to increase their knowledge and connections to vital resources to become informed voters and organize for political change.

In 2002, LI was founded to more fully engage and empower Latinas in the issues and decisions that impact their lives and the health and well-being of their families and communities.

LI recognizes the culturally-respected and influential role Latinas play as leaders and role models. Over the past five years, the organization has become synonymous with informed, engaged, civically-active Latinas- Latinas who will influence family education and information, household consumer decisions, community culture and political outcomes.
