The mission of FDL Literacy Services is to assist adults and families with the basic skills needed to learn and prosper in the 21st Century. Using learner-centered literacy education and volunteer tutors, family literacy is fostered and the development of lifelong learning promoted. Clients served are adults 18 years and older who are reading below the 6th grade level or those individuals who need to improve their English skills. The group reflects the general population of the Fond du Lac area. Students come from various ethnic, religious and economic backgrounds. The Board of Directors is actively involved in the organization.
