Mission Statement
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for children and young adults with special needs through operation of summer camps and other recreational and educational opportunities.
Description
Camp Dream is a recreational, traditional summer camp experience for children and young adults with moderate to severe physical and developmental disabilities. Camp Dream is 100% volunteer, offering a one-to-one camper-counselor ratio. Camp Dream is a barrier free environment that has never turned away a camper due to the severity of their disability or their financial capability.
What really sets Camp Dream apart is its volunteers. From the Program Director to the Junior Counselor, Camp Dream volunteers are passionate about Camp Dream. Volunteers come from near and far to ensure that these special campers are able to fulfill their dreams each summer and during campout sessions throughout the year.
Because we believe that all disabled children, regardless of their financial situation, have a right to recreational and social experiences that enhance self-worth and value, we rely on the generosity of donors and sponsors to allow those campers who are unable to pay the ability to attend Camp Dream.
