Mission Statement

Pacifica's Environmental Family acts as a non-profit fiscal sponsor for grass-roots community groups in Pacifica, CA that have as their primary goal to protect and enhance the environmental quality of Pacifica. We also provide educational events for the public throughout the year on various aspects of Pacifica's environment.

Description

Pacifica's Environmental Family currently provides non-profit fiscal sponsorship support to three local grass roots environmental groups based in Pacifica, CA. Most volunteer opportunities stem from these three groups. They include:

Pacifica Beach Coalition: This project is led by President Lynn Adams and organizes monthly beach clean ups at Linda Mar Beach on the third Saturday of every month (Pacifica's most popular recreational beach) as well as at other beaches along the town's coastline periodically throughout the year. They also take the lead on an annual Habitat Restoration effort at Linda Mar Beach every January on the Martin Luther King Holiday weekend, 3rd weekend in March and an Earth Day celebration every April as well as the local Coastal Clean Up Day in September.
