Mission Statement

The Executive Service Corps of Greater Kansas City helps nonprofit organizations by providing high quality management consulting, training, mentoring and project implementation assistance.

ESC-KC was founded in 1999 by a group of retired entrepreneurs and business professionals who believed, as volunteers, they could use their business knowledge to improve the operations of nonprofit agencies in our community.

ESC-KC's Volunteer consultants support nonprofits engaged in all service areas including education, children and youth, the environment, health and human services, public policy, arts and humanities, civic and community programs.

Description

Are you a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance, HR, IT, sales and marketing, strategic planning or general management?

ESC delivers unique value to our community. Our volunteer consultants and mentors support a broad range of nonprofit needs including strategic planning, development, finance and human resources, information technology, websites and brochures and starting thrift store or other revenue generating activity.

Our volunteer consultants cultivate a relationship with an organization, share expertise and experiences, and suggest, recommend, brainstorm, assist, prod, and mentor. We thus help nonprofits be more management- savvy, more accountable, and more efficient and as a result, more effective, better stewards of their own funding, and more sustainable. In short, our consultants contribute to a stronger fabric of community well-being by strengthening the nonprofits that serve our community.

ESC is similar to the SCORE ( Service Corps of Retiered Executives). SCORE serves businesses, we serve non-profit organizations.

We support organizations that provide services in the following areas:

Families, Health & Wellness, Self-Sufficiency, Seniors, Young Children, Youth, Animals, Community Development, Disabilities, Disaster Relief, Diversity, Education, Employment, Environment,Faith-Based Initiatives,Fundraising, Grant Writing, Homelessness, Poverty, Politics, Public Safety,Religion,Transportation, Communication
